We find ways of making work that we really believe in, and we strive to make sure that the performances we create are high quality and entertaining by respecting the artforms we use, and the people we work with.
Producing new circus performances is at the heart of what we do, and to make that worthwhile, we work hard to promote Contemporary Circus around the UK, and to take our productions further afield. We have a track record of presenting circus in venues and festivals with very little experience of the artform, and offer technical help and information, and marketing and engagement know-how to help demystify the process and reach new audiences.
Cirquit Productions was established in 2011 with the following aims:
To Produce and commission performances that are routed in the tradition and development of circus skills.
To break down traditional preconceptions of what Circus is by:
- Combining Circus with Theatre, Dance and Technology to create beautiful, Innovative story telling.
- Creating circus performances that affect their audiences profoundly by engaging their minds and encouraging their emotions.
- Applying theatrical and choreographic theory and methodologies to the creation of circus performances.
To provide professional employment opportunities for highly skilled circus performers.
To provide high quality circus skills training for professional or aspiring professional circus performers and other interested people.
To make sure that Cirquit Productions never becomes more important than the work it produces.
